Week 2 Sunday Morning

Seek the LORD while he may be found; / Call you on him while he is near
Let the wicked forsake his way, / and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD, / and he will have mercy on him;
And to our God, / for he will abundantly pardon

We confess to God Almighty; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that we have sinned in thought, word and deed, through our own grievous fault. Wherefore we pray God to have mercy on us. Almighty God, have mercy on us. Forgive us all our sins and deliver us from all evil, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness and bring us to life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the Almighty and merciful Lord grant unto us pardon and remission of all our sins / time for the amendment of life and the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Lord, open our lips / And our mouths shall proclaim your praise
O God make speed to save us / O Lord make haste to help us
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit / As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end
Amen

We praise you O God; / We acknowledge you to be the Lord.
All the earth worships you / the Father everlasting
To you all angels cry aloud / the heavens and all the powers therein
To you Cherubim and Seraphim continually cry / Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of Hosts
Heaven and Earth are full / of the Majesty of your glory
The glorious company of the Apostles praises you / The goodly fellowship of the Prophets praises you
The noble army of the Martyrs praises you / The Holy church throughout the world acknowledges you
The Father of an infinite Majesty / Your honourable, true and only Son
And the Holy Ghost: / The comforter.

You are the King of Glory, O Christ / You are the everlasting Son of the Father
When you took it upon yourself to deliver humanity / you did not abhor the virgin's womb
When you had overcome the sharpness of death / you opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers
You sit at the right hand of God / in the glory of the Father
We believe that you will come to be our judge / Therefore we pray to you: help your servants
Whom you have redeemed by your precious blood / Make them numbered among your saints in everlasting glory

Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance / Govern them and lift them up forever
Day by day we magnify you / and we worship your name, ever world without end
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin / O Lord have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us
O Lord, let your mercy light upon us / as our trust is in you
O Lord, I have trusted in you / let me never be confounded

Psalm 24

The earth is the LORD’s, with its fullness; / the world, and those who dwell therein.
For he has founded it on the seas, / and established it on the floods.
Who may ascend to the LORD’s hill? / Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart; / who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, / righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of those who seek Him, / who seek your face—even Jacob. Selah.
Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, / and the King of glory will come in.
Who is the King of glory? / The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, / and the King of glory will come in.
Who is this King of glory? / The LORD of Armies is the King of glory! Selah.

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, / for his loving kindness endures forever.
Let Israel now say / that his loving kindness endures forever.
Let the house of Aaron now say / that his loving kindness endures forever.
Now let those who fear the LORD say / that his loving kindness endures forever.
Out of my distress, I called on GOD. / GOD answered me with freedom.
The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid. / What can man do to me?
The LORD is on my side among those who help me. / Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD, / than to put confidence in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD, / than to put confidence in princes.
All the nations surrounded me, / but in the name of the LORD, I cut them off.
They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. / In the name of the LORD I indeed cut them off.
They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. / In the name of the LORD I cut them off.
You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, / but the LORD helped me.
GOD is my strength and song. / He has become my salvation.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. / “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
The right hand of the LORD is exalted! / The right hand of the LORD does valiantly!”
I will not die, but live, / and declare GOD’s works.
GOD has punished me severely, / but he has not given me over to death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness. / I will enter into them. I will give thanks to GOD.
This is the gate of the LORD; / the righteous will enter into it.
I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me, / and have become my salvation.
The stone which the builders rejected / has become the head of the corner.
This is the LORD’s doing. / It is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day that the LORD has made. / We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Save us now, we beg you, O LORD! / O LORD, we beg you, send prosperity now.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! / We have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God, and he has given us light. / Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. / You are my God, I will exalt you.
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, / for his loving kindness endures forever.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Be mindful, O Lord, of your people bowed before you / and of those who are absent through age, sickness, infirmity or any other cause
Care for the infants, guide the young, support the aged, / encourage the faint-hearted and bring the wandering to your fold.
Travel with the voyagers, defend the widows, shield the orphans / deliver the captives, heal the sick.
Succour all who are in tribulation, necessity or distress. / Remember for good those who love us, and those who hate us
And those who have desired us, unworthy as we are, to pray for them. / And those whom we have forgotten, do you, O Lord, remember.
For you are the helper of the helpless, / the Saviour of the lost
The refuge of the wanderer, / the healer of the sick.
You, who know the need of each / and have heard every prayer,
Grant unto us according to your merciful loving-kindness and eternal love / Through Jesus Christ, our Lord
Amen.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit / be with us all, evermore.
Amen.
