Week 1 Tuesday Morning

Seek the LORD while he may be found; / Call you on him while he is near
Let the wicked forsake his way, / and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD, / and he will have mercy on him;
And to our God, / for he will abundantly pardon

We confess to God Almighty; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that we have sinned in thought, word and deed, through our own grievous fault.  Wherefore we pray God to have mercy on us. Almighty God, have mercy on us.  Forgive us all our sins and deliver us from all evil, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness and bring us to life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

May the Almighty and merciful Lord grant unto us pardon and remission of all our sins / time for the amendment of life and the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Lord, open our lips / And our mouths shall proclaim your praise
O God make speed to save us / O Lord make haste to help us
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit / As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end
Amen.

We praise you O God; / We acknowledge you to be the Lord.
All the earth worships you / the Father everlasting
To you all angels cry aloud / the heavens and all the powers therein
To you Cherubim and Seraphim continually cry / Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of Hosts
Heaven and Earth are full / of the Majesty of your glory
The glorious company of the Apostles praises you / The goodly fellowship of the Prophets praises you
The noble army of the Martyrs praises you / The Holy church throughout the world acknowledges you
The Father of an infinite Majesty / Your honourable, true and only Son
And the Holy Ghost: / The comforter.

You are the King of Glory, O Christ / You are the everlasting Son of the Father
When you took it upon yourself to deliver humanity / you did not abhor the virgin's womb
When you had overcome the sharpness of death / you opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers
You sit at the right hand of God / in the glory of the Father
We believe that you will come to be our judge / Therefore we pray to you: help your servants
Whom you have redeemed by your precious blood / Make them numbered among your saints in everlasting glory

Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance / Govern them and lift them up forever
Day by day we magnify you / and we worship your name, ever world without end
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin / O Lord have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us
O Lord, let your mercy light upon us / as our trust is in you
O Lord, I have trusted in you / let me never be confounded

Psalm 43

Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. / Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men.
For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? / Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. / Let them bring me to your holy hill, To your tents.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. / I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? / Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.

Isaiah 26: 1-7

We have a strong city. / God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: / the one which keeps faith.
You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, / because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever; / for in GOD, the LORD, is an everlasting Rock.
For he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city. / He lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.
The foot shall tread it down; Even the feet of the poor, / and the steps of the needy.”
The way of the just is uprightness. / You who are upright make the path of the righteous level.

Psalm 81
Sing aloud to God, our strength! / Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob!
Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, / the pleasant lyre with the harp.
Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, / at the full moon, on our feast day.
For it is a statute for Israel, / an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, / when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I didn’t know.
“I removed his shoulder from the burden. / His hands were freed from the basket.
You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. / I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” Selah.
“Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, / if you would listen to me!
There shall be no strange god in you, / neither shall you worship any foreign god.
I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. / Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
But my people didn’t listen to my voice. / Israel desired none of me.
So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, / that they might walk in their own counsels.
Oh that my people would listen to me, / that Israel would walk in my ways!
I would soon subdue their enemies, / and turn my hand against their adversaries.
The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, / and their punishment would last forever.
But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. / I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.
Amen.

Be mindful, O Lord, of your people bowed before you / and of those who are absent through age, sickness, infirmity or any other cause
Care for the infants, guide the young, support the aged, / encourage the faint-hearted and bring the wandering to your fold.
Travel with the voyagers, defend the widows, shield the orphans / deliver the captives, heal the sick.
Succour all who are in tribulation, necessity or distress. / Remember for good those who love us, and those who hate us
And those who have desired us, unworthy as we are, to pray for them. / And those whom we have forgotten, do you, O Lord, remember.
For you are the helper of the helpless, / the Saviour of the lost
The refuge of the wanderer, / the healer of the sick.
You, who know the need of each / and have heard every prayer,
Grant unto us according to your merciful loving-kindness and eternal love / Through Jesus Christ, our Lord
Amen.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit / be with us all, evermore.
Amen.
