Week 1 Monday Morning

Seek the LORD while he may be found; / Call you on him while he is near
Let the wicked forsake his way, / and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD, / and he will have mercy on him;
And to our God, / for he will abundantly pardon

We confess to God Almighty; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that we have sinned in thought, word and deed, through our own grievous fault.  Wherefore we pray God to have mercy on us. Almighty God, have mercy on us.  Forgive us all our sins and deliver us from all evil, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness and bring us to life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

May the Almighty and merciful Lord grant unto us pardon and remission of all our sins / time for the amendment of life and the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Lord, open our lips / And our mouths shall proclaim your praise
O God make speed to save us / O Lord make haste to help us
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit / As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end
Amen.

We praise you O God; / We acknowledge you to be the Lord.
All the earth worships you / the Father everlasting
To you all angels cry aloud / the heavens and all the powers therein
To you Cherubim and Seraphim continually cry / Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of Hosts
Heaven and Earth are full / of the Majesty of your glory
The glorious company of the Apostles praises you / The goodly fellowship of the Prophets praises you
The noble army of the Martyrs praises you / The Holy church throughout the world acknowledges you
The Father of an infinite Majesty / Your honourable, true and only Son
And the Holy Ghost: / The comforter.

You are the King of Glory, O Christ / You are the everlasting Son of the Father
When you took it upon yourself to deliver humanity / you did not abhor the virgin's womb
When you had overcome the sharpness of death / you opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers
You sit at the right hand of God / in the glory of the Father
We believe that you will come to be our judge / Therefore we pray to you: help your servants
Whom you have redeemed by your precious blood / Make them numbered among your saints in everlasting glory

Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance / Govern them and lift them up forever
Day by day we magnify you / and we worship your name, ever world without end
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin / O Lord have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us
O Lord, let your mercy light upon us / as our trust is in you
O Lord, I have trusted in you / let me never be confounded

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, / nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
But his delight is in the LORD's law. / On his law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, / whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
The wicked are not so, / but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgement, / nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, / but the way of the wicked shall perish.

1 Samuel 2: 1-10

My heart exults in the LORD! My horn is exalted in the LORD. / My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.
There is no one as holy as the LORD, For there is no one besides you, / nor is there any rock like our God.
Talk no more so exceeding proudly. Don’t let arrogance come out of your mouth, / For the LORD is a God of knowledge. By him actions are weighed.
The bows of the mighty men are broken. / Those who stumbled are armed with strength.
Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. / Those who were hungry are satisfied.
Yes, the barren has borne seven. / She who has many children languishes.
The LORD kills, and makes alive. / He brings down to Sheol, and brings up.
The LORD makes poor, and makes rich. / He brings low, he also lifts up.
He raises up the poor out of the dust. / He lifts up the needy from the dunghill,
To make them sit with princes, / and inherit the throne of glory.
For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s. / He has set the world on them.
He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; / for no man shall prevail by strength.
Those who strive with the LORD shall be broken to pieces. / He will thunder against them in the sky.
The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. / He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Psalm 147: 12-20

Praise the LORD, Jerusalem! / Praise your God, Zion!
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. / He has blessed your children within you.
He makes peace in your borders. / He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
He sends out his commandment to the earth. / His word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool, / and scatters frost like ashes.
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. / Who can stand before his cold?
He sends out his word, and melts them. / He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
He shows his word to Jacob; / his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
He has not done this for just any nation. / They don’t know his ordinances. Alleluia!

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.
Amen.

Be mindful, O Lord, of your people bowed before you / and of those who are absent through age, sickness, infirmity or any other cause
Care for the infants, guide the young, support the aged, / encourage the faint-hearted and bring the wandering to your fold.
Travel with the voyagers, defend the widows, shield the orphans / deliver the captives, heal the sick.
Succour all who are in tribulation, necessity or distress. / Remember for good those who love us, and those who hate us
And those who have desired us, unworthy as we are, to pray for them. / And those whom we have forgotten, do you, O Lord, remember.
For you are the helper of the helpless, / the Saviour of the lost
The refuge of the wanderer, / the healer of the sick.
You, who know the need of each / and have heard every prayer,
Grant unto us according to your merciful loving-kindness and eternal love / Through Jesus Christ, our Lord
Amen.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit / be with us all, evermore.
Amen.
